How Equiderma Began

The story of EQUIDERMA began seventeen years ago... while performing as  President of Telesis Animal Rescue, Inc., with an emphasis on horses and dogs, I came across the worst case of skin disease I have ever seen.  Sahara, a school master Andalusian mare, came to us with advanced rain rot over 80% of her body. She also had ringworm, sweet itch (insect bite hypersensitivity) and severe dew poisoning (scratches).  She constantly ran a high fever and was on the brink of insanity because of the itching from the sweet itch.  When turned out, she was bending our  gates into U shapes and when she was in her stall she was rubbing down the walls in her effort to relieve the itching that was driving her insane. 
I had to do something!  Three months and 1500.00 spent on everything the vets and feed stores had to offer had produced no results.  After much thought and research I decided to make up my first batch of the then no name EQUIDERMA Antibacterial Anti-fungal Skin Lotion.  There were several criteria it had to meet.  Foremost it had to be safe and cause no pain.  It had to have strong antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and it had to contain ingredients to soften the crusty scabs that covered her body so I could remove them without causing her more pain..

On a hot summer night with just the crickets, me and the horses quietly munching their night hay a star was born… the first Equiderma product was made.  After all the horses were put to bed  I put together the ingredients I hoped would help Sahara, and poured a gallon of my formula over this miserable, suffering mare I had grown to love.  What took place next was nothing short of a miracle.  Within ½ hour this horse who hadn't stopped itching for three months found relief.  She completely STOPPED ITCHING!
Over the next two weeks I watched her bloom from a miserable, wreck of a horse,  to a beautiful horse with a spectacular, glossy show coat.  With ease EQUIDERMA Leave on Lotion had relieved her itching and pain, cured her rain rot, scratches, and ringworm, and restored  harmony to her life.

Because Sahara had developed a following in the community when I finally hit on something that helped her people wanted to know what it was.  I began to make small batches to sell out of the barn to help fund our rescue...  next thing I know a full blown business had begun. I began to bottle and sell other formulas I had created over the years to help  our horses.  Each one designed to be better than what the market had to offer.  To date, Equiderma products are sent all over the world and growing stronger every day.
